The skin consists of the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis, which are stacked one on top of the other. The dermis; it is the skin’s protector. Collagen fibers; provides skin’s durability, depth and structural integrity. Elastin fibers are thinner. They form a network together and play an important role in the elasticity of the skin. If the collagen nets become irregular and the elastin fibers break, the entire structure that tightens the skin is destroyed, and the skin becomes streak-like. In simple terms, the amount of fat under the skin increases and decreases more than normal, the same speed and rate of failure to manage the skin is worn out, tears, is separated. The body then tries to fill this area with repair tissue and scars (similar to extinguished balloons) form. These traces are called striae.
